#2 Last night I saw part of an interesting PBS Frontline special about Pakistan's borderlands on one of our local stations. Very informative, gorgeous photography, and completely counter the PBS party line. They even asked pointed questions of Mr. Musharref. Well worth seeing, if you can find it in your area.

#3 Pakistan only attack when an important western figure is in the area.

Otherwise they turn a blind eye re militant crossing into Afghanistan

#4 The new Defense Secretary Robert Gates is in the area. After Kabul he will probably go onto Islamabad.

Hence the Pak raids... all for show...

Bet they'll find a #3 or #4 to hand over...

#9 They'll take down the Al Qaeda assets. I s'pect the ISI has writtem them off as unreliable. Taliban are another story.
