#3 lol, many of the exact same comments can be said of the Iron Bowl here in the South (Auburn vs. Univ. of Alabama). I was born and raised in Atlanta metro and thought the Univ. of GA/GA Tech rivalry was big. That is, until I went to Auburn for school, lol! I literally think that there's a checkbox on Birth Certificates in Alabama hospitals which tells which school you'll be destined to cheer for. No one cares about the gender, just which side of the fence you sit on during the Iron Bowl, lol!

#4 Excellent Mike! What a day....UofM against OSU...the way it used to be. Afterwards, Cal and USC for the Rosebowl where by the Grace of Almighty God it will be Michigan and Cal.

#6 Bo's gone ? That's a loss to Michigan, like when Woody departed.

#7 I just had a vision of Woody, sitting on a reclining cloud, dropping the dime on Bo so he had someone to watch the game with this year...

#9 We'll see, ARMYGUY, we'll see. I have a feeling it'll be like our trouncing of Florida after losing to Arkansas the week before. But, the Iron Bowl's ALWAYS a good game, no matter either team's record!

#10 BTW, I wouldn't talk too much, AG. You're outnumbered here. I know of 2 other 'burg posters who are Auburn fans/alumni (besoeker and Deacon Blues, I believe).

#11 These Buckeyes are people who know the disciplines of war.

When my son was three years old I was watching a football game. He asked who the guys in the orange and white helmets were, and I told him the Tennessee Volunteers. He then asked who the guys in the silver helmets were, and I told him the Ohio State Buckeyes. He looked at me oddly, but went on about his business.

Later he was running around the house and I asked him what he was doing. He answered, "I'm one of the Ohio State Butt Guys." Good thing I wasn't drinking anything at the time.

#14 Everyone here in WA is too focused on the "Apple Bowl" tomorrow--UW Huskies at WSU Cougars.

#15 Univ. of Michigan is a great school, and Ann Arbor is a very pleasant town. Which should be of some solace tomorrow when they LOSE to OSU.

#16 That rivalry is so bad that a coach who had a winning record, but could not beat Michigan was fired I just can't remember his name they scratched it from history.:)

#17 That was John Cooper (OSU) I believe. He coached in the early to mid-nineties. Couldn't beat Michigan.
It happened to an Alabama head coach in the eighties as well. Three seasons, three losses to Auburn.
