#2 Lott is a Master Parliamentarian. That quality will be essential for a minority party that will face a vindictive majority and an administration that has already made signals of capitulation.

#3 I never figured out why the GOP dumped him in the first place - that was a self-inflicted wound. Big time. Minority Leader would be better, but I'll settle for this.
