#1 It sounds like Iran is trying to get Syria and Israel to fight each other. Get the other dogs to fight so you can take over as pack leader.

#6 I gather the Sunni/Shitte split in Qatar is pretty even, with their even being two religious court systems. Their population is split with 40% being Arab, 10% Iranian, and the other 50%, other.

They probably suspect that this is turning into a Sunni/Shiite fight, and that's something they don't want.

#8 Ahmadinejad: Israel pushed button of its own destruction

"See, mindless drones, it's all Israel's fault. Seethe and kill at will, as long as you don't pay any attention to your government's shortcomings. After they're gone, we're gonna have to come up with someone else to hate. Any ideas, anyone?"

#9 I see no reason to think Iran does NOT have nukes. What happens if they manage to deliver a nuclear-armed missile to HezbAllah to launch for detonation somewhere over Israel? Israeli defense is critically high-tech; is it sufficiently hardened to survive the EMP? One presumes their ballistic missiles are, but where do they target them? One presumes Iran would have been the supplier of HA nuke, but one can probably not be sure it was not Pakistan, or North Korea, or some part of the former Soviet Union. Regardless, I fear whatever Israel does will be a last dying gasp as the Muslim world unites to invade all the unirradiated remnants of Israel.
I think Ahmanutjob would do it even if he KNEW Iran would get nuked back. That is why I cannot understand Europe's (including Russia's) refusal to cooperate in trying to keep Iran out of the nuclear fraternity these many years. Are they so anti-Semitic they really think they are better off being the last ones eaten by the crocodile?
