#2 I think I'll carry my cane on all future flights, just for safety's sake. I only need it when my knee or my hip act up, but it can put a nice dent in a nutjob's head.

#3 OP, if you carry one shaped like a candy cane you can easily break someone's arm with it as well. Canes is wonderful objects.

A suggestion--get a cattleman's crook. They are all hard wood, and won't set off metal detectors. The short ones are about the right length and shape to pass for a cane, and typicaly weigh 6+ lbs. if made of quality oak or hicory. They are made for getting the attention of stubborn/stupid livestock. You can kill the cow before you break one.

You might want to brush up on the short staff type martial arts. I carry one, and can pass for a disabled vet if asked. Don't forget to start limping before you hit the terminal.

#5 IOW, all passengers must have background checks and travel papers approved by the FBI = KGB, + the interior of aircraft must have armor protections + surveillence devices to watch both pilots-crews as well as civilians. MOVE ALONG, BOYZ, NO "CREEPING/GRADUAL COMMUNISM-SOCIALISM-GOVERNMENTISM" etc HERE.

#6 Don't overheat, Joe. The important part of the story is that three passengers pounced on this guy.

#7 Who was it who said, "walk softly, but carry a big stick."
Personally, I prefer the Texas swager
and I long for the days of Teddy Roosevelt
and the big stick method when it comes to dealing with terrorists.
This pitiful impotent UN thingy just makes me roll my eyes in discust.
