#1 Question? Why are they holding the other guys? Because they maybe didn't report it? It's really out of curiosity that I ask. And he is appearing in federal court instead of military court. Did they discharge him, then arrest? I'm have no knowledge of military law, and am just wondering. Thanks

#2 According to an affidavit filed with the criminal complaint, he was discharged "before this incident came to light. Green was discharged due to a personality disorder."

Likely they figured out he was nuts and kicked him out.

#3 Back in Gulf War I, the law was changed that permitted former military members to be brought back on active duty to face charges for acts committed while on duty. Something about some retire officer and sexual harrassment or misbehavior iirc was the rationale. I'm sure the option is there. Till the paperwork is completed, like any 'regular' civilian [not to include those who have conspired with the enemies of the US during time of war], he'll be processed by the civilian side of the house.

#4 The current story is one murderer/rapist, one rapist/accessory, and two accessories. All very junior enlisted men. The murder/rape victim was apparently a girl of 15, while the murder victims were her parents and her 5 year old sister. Premeditated for about a week. Very, very ugly.

#5 I just had a truly horrible thought:

Maybe we should be glad of the "Atrocity du Jour (Haditha, abugraib, etc.)" mentality in the MSM. It has desensitised us so that something like this dosen't have the impact that the treasonous left would like it to have. Sort of like the boy who cried wolf.

#6 I think you're right, N. Ironically, this incident seems (seems)to be a true atrocity, with few or no mitigating circumstances. This one, unfortunately, is deep into Qusay territory.

If they're guilty and well proven, line they're asses up against a wall and listen to the liberals beg for their life, then shoot. I see Momma Sheehan begging for a psychos life now. Maybe it can be a LifeTime movie.
