I've posted on several occasions, most quite long ago, now, that I see civilization as a little more than a thin candy shell. Keeping in mind that desire to be the Good Guys, to see ourselves as chivalrous, deserving of the Order of the Garter, yadda³...

It's stupid, self-defeating, and will get far more of us killed than getting ripe and getting it done. Omaha Beach? Iwo? Sicily? Tarawa? Inchon? And countless other points in the matrix where it devolved to bayonets or flamethrowers? Don't the gutless turds who sit in judgment realize that was how wars happen - ugly, brutal, nasty, and very personal? Do we really care, given the choices, what the voyeurs think? Lol. Who are we kidding here, eh?

Heh. Fuck this noise. Fuck tip-toeing around all the fucking time. That's for cartoonists and publishers and diplodinks and cowards and dhimmis. Saddle up and give better than we get, anywhere confronted, everywhere they call home and / or draw upon for support, fodder, funds.

#8 I still think it would be a damned good idea for western embassies to quietly evacuate almost all of their personnel. I strongly suspect that the Iranians see them as nothing more than hostages, or someone to publicly execute when the whim strikes them.

This is no longer the calculated cynicism of the Iranian revolutionaries, it is the psychotic contempt of the armageddonites, the "human life means nothing to me" crowd.

Diplomacy means nothing to them, it just makes their head hurt. And thus, diplomats have no "face", so it doesn't matter if you kill them.

LOL We are going to kill an extreemly large number of people in Iran who could care less one way or the other about us, and for no other reason than they are in between us and that nuke developing ass of a leader, sorry about that! I do not enjoy the killing but I've been to Afghanistan and I really prefer this Kentucky lifestyle. So your right, they are putting it to us for a decision and our choice is one of three. Let them win, not an option. Play this measured game, like we are, using the bravest of soldiers, embassy staffers, and civilians as fodder to apease the conscience of the politicos. Or sent them, and the rest of the world, a message by nuking the rats and put an end to this.

Of course, who would you trust more around your children--the family dog (or donkey) or an Islmofacist? Ding-ding . . . ! And the answers are in.

Funny and stupid is the fact that they're trying to insult the West using animals we generally admire and even feel some affection for. I like dogs, and don't trust those who don't. Dogs are loyal, dependable, smart, and trustworthy. see link and also here . Donkeys are great--stubborn, independent, hard-working,and low-maintainance. What's not to like? It's stupid for the Iranians to consider donkeys stupid. I mean, a donkey is what it is, but what excuse do they have? So, in effect, while trying to "insult" our culture and beliefs, the (actually) stupid and dirty Iranians (I mean, have you seen photos of these guys?--and I'm talking about the urbanites--they really need some lessons in basic hygiene) have, rather than denigrated us, affirmed some of the traits that make us a great people.

Jerks. Creeps. Idiots. F-wads. F-turds. (Guess I better stop before I end up in the sinktrap! )
