#1 A previous attempt to end the bloodshed collapsed in 2003 after the Indonesian military kicked out foreign observers and restarted combat operations against the rebels.

Fools, to deliberately disarm after having proof positive of being double-crossed once before.

I'll not be surprised if now the Govt wipes them out quietly. After all, they've turned in their guns, and intend to show up at the polls, so they can be easily identified as they register to vote.
