If this were true, then that means Saddam, a (aleged) mooslim, who hosted and paid known terrorists, who was known to have used and suspected of still having WMDs, could possibly, might have, maybe worked with Islamic terrorists? Like al-Queda? Naw, never happen.

HAMBURG - German intelligence believes Iran has now bought 18 longer-range missiles from North Korea, giving Tehran the capability to attack targets in central Europe, the German daily newspaper Bild reported Friday.

The study by the foreign intelligence service BND said the BM-25 missiles were being purchased from Pyongyang in the form of kit sets. The mobile missiles, which are based on the Russian SS-N-6 missile for submarine launch, will have a nominal range of 2,500 kilometres.

However it was possible to upgrade them to hit targets 3,500 kilometres away, the Munich-based BND said.

Iran already has Shehab-3 missiles with a range of 1,300 kilometres.

Bild quoted the BND dossier as saying: "Germany and other parts of Europe could be affected in the medium to long term by the Iranian missile programme."

It added: "With longer ranges in the future, combined with the apparent efforts to obtain nuclear warheads, Iran would be in a position to reach all of Israel and parts of central Europe.

#10 Given the slow death that North Korea is living, it is a distinct possibility that both they and Iran will try it on at the same time.

The entire world still remembers 1968, when the US was so distracted elsewhere, and pretty powerless anyway, that the invasion of Czechoslovakia went off without serious repercussions to Russia.

It took us 23 years, and Ronald Reagan, to finally redeem that stain.

#13 The question now is.. what exactly did they get from AQ Khan either directly (from the network) or indirectly (from North Korea) ?

Pakistan traded the Chinese bomb design for North Korean ballistic missiles.
Iran has nothing that valuable to trade (technology wise) but has two things that North Korea wants badly - oil and hard currency.

Has North Korea sold the Chinese weapon designs to Iran?
What about Plutonium or Uranium?

The really pathetic irony of this whole thing is that if the Donks had made a decision back in late 2001/early 2002 to support the war wholeheartedly-- and stuck with that support through the 2004 election-- they would very likely have a majority in the House and in the Senate, and maybe even have the Presidency as well.

Can you imagine what their situation would be today if they'd taken the absolutely titanic amount of energy they've poured into bashing Bush and the war, and put it instead into coming up with an attractive (i.e., realistic, practical and effective) suite of domestic policy initiatives that actually addressed the real concerns of real Americans???

Instead, they decided to unleash the roaring tiger of MoveOn.org's and DU's BDS Brigades, and take a ride on it-- except that ride didn't take them to victory.

And now they can't even get off that tiger.
