#2 Soros? 50 Million. Oh nevermind, that was his 527 anti-Bush contributions. Tsunami relief? $3.26, which is what he dumped into the slavation army bin out of his pocket.

#4 Just beginning my fourth year, not my fourth anniversary.

George Soros isn't very welcome in the region, since his fortune was mad by bancrupting the nations of the area. As far as I could tell, his money was going to other places like the Ukraine.

#6 Yet another under reported story is the good work being done by dozens of US charities that benefited from this money. Oh, the big boys like the Red Cross and UNICEF did well, but so many smaller organizations were blessed with sums that they never could have imagined. And, in tiny villages all over South Asia, these smaller charities are performing miracles.

I said early on, and it is coming true, that the region will be so much better off after this tragedy. Many, many people who otherwise would not have ever seen an end to grinding poverty will have fresh water, schools, job training, etc. and the seeds planted here will blossom in a couple of decades.

#7 Hey, the Canadians pledged $425 million and they're a much smaller country. Of course, they kind of neglected the part where you actually pay up!
