#2 I worked polls today - handing out sample ballots. According to those who had worked the district before, the turnout was indeed huge.

I don't have any data or experience to back this up - but judging from what the paid Republican "manager" said, it was an area expected to go Kerry. Judging from my friends and neighbors, I had expected the same. However, judging from what who picked which sample ballot..I'd say the advantage was ...ever so slightly ....but recognizable....Bush!

#4 The NH result is two small towns that, by tradition, cast the first votes in every presidential election. Too small a sample to mean anything as statistics go. Still, a nice morale booster.

#10 It seems like all the polls are now acknowledging that Bush will get FL. Seems to me like that would be the race if...IF true.

#12 Bush will Win. God cannot be so cruel.

This is my last post until I can compose myself.

I worked the polls the AM, and things are going great for Bush. More volunteers than we can use in most places.

But it seems so small now.

I will be out the rest of the day and probably tomorrow to help out a Marine. He's one of "my kids" that I helped in youth group (as a drill intructor then later as a Big Brother). He is coming home from Al Anbar province in Iraq. He was one of the best and brightests kids I have ever known, someone who made the world a better place.

His funeral is tomorrow.

I do not cry, my dad would never allow it - and neither would the world in which I grew up, or lived in. Except this once. I will be crying and praying at my Church with his mom and a group of friends, adults and kids. God speed his soul - they sure are getting a good one, a Marine to guard the Gates of Heaven this time.

I know I shouldnt post when I'm this messed up. But, this is personal now. And I'm already boiling. If you are not with me, then you are against me. And right now, against me is not a good palce to be.

I will cry. I will grieve. I will pray. And then I will start back to work to make sure we exterminate Islamic Fascism and the people that aid and abet it from the planet, to my last dollar, last drop of blood, my last breath.

THEY DESERVE NO QUARTER, NO MERCY. ONLY EXTERMINATION.

#20 Old Spook, we cry with you over the death of this fine young American. Please convey our heartfelt thanks to his family. Our determination to win this war so that so that more do not have to die in such a cause will never be dimmed. The evil ones may not yet know it, but they've already lost. And they will not enjoy their learning process.

#22  BUSH! BUSH! BUSH!!

Last Saturday me and my wife were out and passed a Bush rally.

We started saying 'Bush! Dick! Bush! Dick!' and, well, it descended from there :) Luckily we were in the van at the time.

#24 OS, I just sent a condolence message to a Duke grad who was killed yesterday in Al Abnar. If not the same person, he sounds of the same quality. What is it about the Marines? (Not to discount those in the other services, I honor them as well.) My thoughts and prayers are with you, him and his family. We must win this so these fine young men no longer need to die.
