#3 This is the gone-native expat who suddenly rediscovered her Irish citizenship, right? Bigley-ism continues apace.

#4 This is why I want BUSH to win the election because a Kerry victory means people try to nuancedly negotiate and try to understand the position of jihadis. I just want them shot. They should be charged with stealing oxygen.

#5 I agree with you Anon1, but I have do feel a nervousness in my stomach. If Bush doesn't win, we're in for a *rough* ride.

#7 Tony (UK) I have been thinking this same thought for months now, and here is what I have come up with. Regardless of the winner of the presidential election, we all have to be strong and to work for what is good and right. Our goal is to erase Islamofascism from the globe. We must demand this from our leaders. We also have to promote decent and healthy moral, ethical, and lifestyle standards for us and our families. The present western narcissistic culture and lifestyle does not cut it. The Republicans have strayed from the course like the dems. We must instill a sense of personal responsibility to people.

In short there has to be a transformation in western society as well as in Muslim society, if we as a civilization are going to survive.

I have little faith in the political parties that they will do it. It will require the people to demand the change. When the people lead, the leaders will follow.

Anyway, I will end this rant with saying that this is the big picture task that is before us, regardless of whose party you belong to. The parties need to feel some fire and brimstone for the ethics and values they have sacrificed for whoring for votes.

#8 the mighty islamic warrior...there is no negotiations with monsters like these noble islamic warriors.... time to bring back carpet bombing..

or maybe it is time for western extremists to begin kidnapping iman asshats in the West and send a video to al jazeer...demanding release of all non-combatants held or off with the head...

#9 AP you are absolutely right.

Make it part of each individual's daily/weekly goals: instill by example a respect for reason, virtue, and freedom in the people one interacts with. There are many ways. For instance, if someone echoes Michael Moore in front of you, state firmly that you disagree -- don't bother arguing, just voice a public, polite disagreement. That will shut them down, and let others know that it's OK to openly disagree with the lefty lunatics. People who are curious will come to you afterwards and ask for intellectual ammo.

#10 good point, Kalle and AP:

my friend has been doing what you say. She had dinner with friends recently and some loudmouth started going off about why he hates Bush, quoting Michael Moore et al.

She frankly told him she disagrees and that she's not interested in hearing his views ad infinitum.

He rudely shouted her down, but I think her quiet voice penetrated the friends who were listening more.

It gave them something to think about. IE: not everyone has to agree with the moonbats!

There's a great Theodore Dalrymple book called 'the worldview that makes the underclass' or something like that.

It is all about how people need to take responsibility for their actions and half the reason society is so full of whinging bludgers and multiculti loons is because people don't take responsibility for their actions. I thoroughly recommend it. It is written by a prison psychiatrist.

Alaska Paul, I think you would really enjoy it.
