More demands will be issued until they make ones so patently absurd that the hostages are killed anyway. Does anyone doubt this outcome (barring secret ransom payments)?

Spoon feeding the kidnappers this sort of global publicity is merely kissing the hand that slaps you.

#2 proper response would've been 2.5 million per head on the kidnappers, double if the hostages were rescued alive - turn these bastards on each other
