#1 ...taking part in a January 1991 attempt to blow up a gilded angel statue atop the 67-metre Victory Column in Berlin that commemorates 19th-century Prussian military victories. What kind of moronic attack is that? Can't they pick some people and places that everbody knows?

Actually, their senseless pattern is making me nervous. I don't think I will attend the Fort Wayne Komets game this weekend. Come to think of it, I will also skip the Jonny Appleseed this fall.

#2 Was that Napoleon the 2d, Fred? The Siegessaeule was inaugurated in 1873 by the Emperor William 1 to commemorate victories over Denmark, Austria, and France in the mid 1860s and early 1870s.
