#2 English Speaking Canada will eventually join the US thanks to Quebec. Probably during our lifetimes.

United Europe should be watching Canada closely to see how their own future will turn out.

#3 Textbook example of the perils of "Socialized Defense". It may be beneficial at some point to allow one of our sharp-tongued "allies" to be invaded without intervention by US. Might spur the others to start pulling their share. Or at least STFU.

What did surprise some observers is that many people in Quebec continue to oppose a rebuilt military.

Why were they surprised? That sounds about right for the baby Frogs.

#7 What would you expect. We have our own mini-France here in Canada where an anti-American attitude is regarded as sophisticated. I keep hoping the Quebecois will vote to separate but they haven't the guts to do it.
