#3 And I betcha it was only between prayer times, of course. It doesn't say, but I'm sure they had a compass or GPS so they could point themselves toward Mecca and little nifty rugs and everything. In fact, the more I think about it the more I am convinced they were prolly Holy Men doing Holy Men desert stuff. Prolly driving a Holy Vehicle, too. Prolly a Perp-Mobile. Yep. I'm sure of it, now.
