#1 Agreed. I think Don Bardzini's unhappiness is justified, but you're right: he's wasting his time in Cairo. This is almost a betrayal of the Kurds - and they are the brightest lot in Iraq, by a wide margin. It seems a foolish move to risk their trust for such a pittance -- which may also be a Trojan Horse loaded with mischief and trouble or become a target for reprisal and revenge. Methinks No Turks makes far more sense.

#2 Me think that too, but the lousy way the US handled the matter and their request of troop aid put our government in a position to stretch out a hand, just say you don't need our troops anymore and case can be closed.
