#1 We've already got useful 2 wheeled personal transportation devices. They're called BICYCLES. I thought that the Segway was a dumb idea for the consumer market. For the ibdustrial market for warehouses and such sure. But they may have to add some landing gear

#2 Even the mighty Segway must bow before Fudd's Law:

If you push something hard enough, it will fall over.

#3 How much was spent on this thing and they never figured out what would happen if the battery died?

#4 Well there is a low battery indicator, so it seems to me that once the warning has been given that the battery needs recharging, any further use constitutes an increased risk to the rider and any injury sustained as a result of ignoring the warning is solely the rider's responsibility.

#5 B-A-R, come on! How's a ambulance-chasing darwin award representative lawyer to earn a living?

#6  B-A-R,check side of cigarette package.Sure didn't stop lawsuits against tobacco industry.(As a lifetime non-smoker,I personaly don't think anyone who began smoking after 1970 should ever be allowed to sue tobacco industry).Remember,Segway was/is marketed as being safe and simple to use.Incidentaly,a columnist on ESPN's Page 2 website(cannot remember his name)predicted lawsuits over Segway when it was first introduced. His idea was an item marketed as being safe was sure to get fraud lawsuits filed the first time someone fell off.
