#1 Al Qaeda’s bomb attacks in Riyadh Monday night were opening shots of fresh terror campaign against US and Saudi Arabia timed for end of Iraq War.

#2 You idiot of 'g wiz', aren't you ashamed of being sarcastic while Americans get killed ?
You probably hate Mr. President enough to forget the victims of terrorism in a split second, don't you ?

#3 Hundreds of al Qaeda terrorists await next instructions in Saudi cities – among them US and Canadian nationals and turncoat Saudi soldiers

US and Canadian nationals? I'd be real interested in grabbing some of them up alive and putting the screws to them. As far as turncoat Saudi soldiers? You mean there's some that aren't?

#4 Undoubtedly there will be some French, German, Belgian, Indonesian or Russian fatalities. No one should gloat over these either.

#5 g wiz: Have you no shame? Your hatred for all things American is showing. I will gladly send you a ticket to Saudi Arabia or perhaps Zimbabwe, where the rights for the likes of you will allow you to "vote". Hah!

#6 Interesting. Why wait until AFTER the Iraqi war? It almost looks as if AlQ is RESPONDING to GW II, and thus CONFIRMING the linkage between them and Saddam.

Alternatively, the timing can be argued to be more linked to Colin Powell's visit

Good news so far: No WMD involved. Given the proximity of Saudi Arabia to Iraq, they'd have used it if they had it.

And if Dubya was REALLY interested in Ooooooil, he'd use this as an excuse to condemn Saudi laxity in security, jump in, and take over "to do things right".

Accusing the Administration could be justified if this happened in Illinois. However, Saudi Arabia is NOT a part of the USA, have a security apparatus unsupervised by us, and have their collective head up their ass when it comes to Terrorism.

Expect S.A. to be royally pissed at AlQ for Not Staying Bought Off.

On the other hand, AlQ was modeled after a venture capital firm investing in terrorism on behalf of investors who wanted deniability. One of their investors just, well, disappeared, and they may be pinched for donations. This incident just might be AlQ putting the squeeze on Saudia to cough up more dough to make up for their shortfall. A reminder that Saudia hasn't got what it takes to really defend themselves, and to count themselves fortunate that it was "just infidels" this time. S.E.N.D. M.O.R.E. M.O.N.E.Y., or else...

#7 PTah,
Aha! I have been trying to find some "WIIFM" analysis to figure out "why here?" and "why now" for this senseless act, and I like the way you are thinking. "What's in it for AlQ?"- comparing them to venture capital firm could be right on the mark. Hopefully funding is more and more difficult to secure, and even disburse.

#8 sheesh, calm down, kids. I'm a pro-American. I WANT Dubya to win. The more terror attacks (and they're obvliousy very unfortunate) means the more support for Bush in the election. I don't want some terror appeasing semi-socialist Democrat to win.

Ok, I shouldn't have said "Yee-hah" that was wrong.

#9 g wiz: not wrong, merely poorly timed and in bad taste. 'sokay. *patpat* Many (including me) have questionably applied sarcastic remarks, and I'm sure they'll slip through again.
