#1 There are three large immigrant groups in LA area that most people dont think about. 1) It has the largest Iranian population outside of Iran 2) It has the largest Korean population outside of Korea, and in Orange County, The Largest Viet population outside of Vietnam.

All are fiercely patriotic towards the country that has welcomed them and allowed them to thrive.

This might have had something to do with the LA Councils decision.

#2 Well, I think it shows very good sense on the part of the Los Angeles City Council not to declare war on Iraq. Iraq used to have the Fourth Largest Army in the World™. They're probably still somewhere around 31st. What's LA got? The LAPD?

Better to just leave the declarations of war to the feds, I always say.
