#3 The US military has been too focused on extended patrol missions with drones, so perhaps this will force it to go for faster, more maneuverable, but shorter range, even expendable, drones.

This also means that target analysis would be more oriented to satellite and high altitude, out of country. And that means that the cheapest system already available would be stand off small diameter bombs.
