#3 Despite the claptrap from the likes of Paul Krugman, Moscow's reliance on human wave tactics is a catastrophe... Western Media is begrudgingly starting to report that UKR loses are adding up in Bakhmut - some pundits are dropping the 100K number. Meanwhile ISW still thinks UKR has a shot at winning this front - and I disagree.

I saw video from Bakhmut, it is not as frozen as they said - its wet, cold, but no ice, no snow.

Bakhmut factiods:
- had a pre-war population of 70,000
- is situated by a highway leading to Lysychansk; highway is deemed an essential route for keeping Ukrainean troops supplied
- Artwinery is one of the largest producers of sparkling wines in Eastern Europe
- Artemsii is a well-known table salt producer. Its output accounts for some 90% of Ukraine's salt consumption. Distributing the condiment through the country has become impossible since Russia invaded in February. The cost of salt has subsequently spiked in Ukraine and forced imports from Germany.
