#1 The border areas voted their pocket books. Wages under Trump were growing 4-5%/year after 20 years of stagnation. Growing economy, fewer illegals competing for jobs and 4% unemployment = Trump victory. The vultures of both parties waiting in the wings will ruin all that.

#5 Texas is a vast rural Republican area that happens to have few large metro areas that vote Democratic. in those rural areas everybody knows everybody and strangers are greeted with suspicion and sometimes a Winchester carrying native.
