#2 When I was living in NYC (During the Dinkins era), the daily death toll was 6/day (or over 2,000/year). Rudy Giuliani is the one who turned things around.

The idea of the death toll dropping to 500 a year is just unimaginable to an ex-New Yorker like me.

#3 And only 100 or less killed by strangers; lovers killing lovers is sad, but probably unstoppable, and drug dealers killing drug dealers doesn't bother me much, at least less than having someone killed by a mugger.

#4 Governemnt can only remove the economic motives for crimes.
