#1 How about starting with: dropping the all bias bias in your reporting. Especially the excessive liberal bias that has you supressing some news and inaccurately reporting other news. And provide balance on the editorial board.

Do that and commit to "fair and open" reporting, and you'll get a lot of new readers like me who long ago gave up on your fishwrapper.

#3 This includes a plan to "shrink" the newsroom. "tightening up the paper's news hole," cracking down on story length and moving reporters and editors "within and among staffs." The Post is now suffering from regular circulation declines.

yada, yada, yada. Lots of you will lose your jobs now that the election is over and foreign money is drying up. If you don't prepare for that, don't say I didn't warn you.

#4 “…what our readers need to know about the world...Visual journalism will be given still more importance in the printed paper…the opportunity to transform journalism for a new era”

If you read between the lines, Downies “transformation” appears clear. First, Cut staff and save dough. Next, increase the amount of stories that require less background and can place more emphasis on “conflict”. Finally accent shorter length articles with eye catching graphics to attract those less inclined to actually digest what they read. It’s called “Info-tainment” Bayybeee!

#6 Nah, they'll just offshore that to the middle east. As a matter of fact I think they already are.

#7 The problem is, USA Today already owns that market.
