They're being invaded now by Muslims, not other Christian Slavs. The Polish government and most Poles view the EU as the main threat to Polish liberties and independence, not Russia.

I'd love to see Putin attempt to push all the way to the Atlantic. My impression is that readiness levels in Europe are a joke relative to Cold War standards. I have a feeling that it would put to rest, once and for all, our pledge to initiate a nuclear Masada on behalf of our allies in response to a conventional invasion.

Russia would fall apart. That would be fine if China fell apart at the same time, but that's not in the cards, for now. How'd you like to see Russia east of the Urals in Chinese hands? How about the former Russian stans?
