#4 Maybe Mr. Attenborough should replace his Labrador with a Rottweiler. Or a Belgian Malinois like Conan. Labradors tend to be very gentle. Rottweilers and Malinois, not so much.

#5 Service animal breeds for visually impaired folks are usually chosen for their attentiveness to their owners. Labs are perfect breeds in that respect.

The Rotties and Malinois types are concerned about what's around them and not so much about their owners. That's what makes them excellent guard dogs.

We have a Pyrenees and she could give a rip about what we are doing, but woe to the poor coyote walking a 1/2 mile away.
