#1 My search continues for the common denominator of crime ridden cities such as Detroit, Oakland, Chicago, Atlanta, Abuja, ~~Salisbury~~ Harare, Durban, and Johannesburg. I am on the cusp of ruling out frustrated Welsh coal miners and the oppressive Reinheitsgebot of 1516 (Bavarian beer purity order). My search continues. #3 Besoeker, cities with large concentrations of the poor have been dangerous for millenia. Read Dickens on 19th century London, or the history of New Orleans, which first hosted the Mafia in the US.

#7 The obvious solution would be winning the World Series, stated by a talking head last time the Tiggers made the playoffs, Detroit I believe had also been ranked most dangerous city that year.
