#7 We were talking the aluminum foil drawer; one of my favorite parts about being raised by someone who survived The Great Depression and The Dust Bowl, was wondering what would be in the butter tub. Could be leftovers. Could be veggies. Could be fat. It was never butter.

The worst was the tolerance for spoiled food. When I would visit, there was always a chance for a surprise, especially the dairy. Salad dressing lasts a lot longer than you think....but not forever. My favorite, coming inside on a hot day of goofing off. Big ol drink of that ice cold chocolate milk. Well, its not chunky, but give it a day. She takes a drink, says its fine, sets it down with that You're Not Wasting Food, Are You? look.
