Iran is repor filing a complaint agz the US on these plot allegations before the UNO.

Pragmatically, I can think of much worse plots that Iran is well-capable of mustering.

Technically, yes, 'tis an act of war, but far from being Iran's worst.

* SAME > SENATORS DEMAND ECONOMIC WAR ON IRAN AFTER MURDER PLOT, URGING OBAMA TO CRUSH ITS CENTRAL BANK.

Again, Summer 2012 at the earliest, iff at all vee US avoidance of recession or depression unless someone does something really stupid.

* SAME > DEAR AMERICA, IRAN IS NOT YOUR COUNTRY'S GRAVEST THREAT.

Directly, Strategically, andor Ideologically - youse name it, Iran isn't.

In any case, MIL HISTORY > THE BULK OF IRAN = ANCIENT PERSIA'S WARS ARE FOUGHT IN OR AROUND IRAN/PERSIA + NEARBY REGIONS.

IOW, covert Individual andor Small-Group/Cell Terrops aside, Iran's large regular Army + prob IRGC is unlikely to be seen charging en masse' over the hills + dales + mountains, etc. of CONUS or ALCAN - Histoire' says its the US = US-Allied/Coalition that will likely have to fight Iran in Iran's backyard, domestically or regionally.

AND IRAN KNOWS IT.

Again, iff pro-Islamist MOvements succeed in legally electorally taking over the Muslim ME + North Africa, A NUKE-ARMED, SHIA-CENTRIC HEGEMONIC = CALIPHATE-HAPPY ISLAMIST IRAN WILL ONLY BE ONE OF MANY HEADACHES FOR THE US-WEST.

E.g. WORLD NEWS > ZAWAHIRI URGES ISLAMIC RULE IN LIBYA, arguing for Libyans to do everything possible to protect their revolution + gains from the US-West.
