Didn't the Khmer Rouge do the same thing in Cambodia in the 1970's.

I give the Taliban at best 3 maybe 4 years, before another Islamic nation steps in.

not very similar; the Genocide in Cambodia was many orders of magnitude greater than what we have seen so far in Afghanistan; in Cambodia in the 70s, about 20-25% of the population was exterminated, about 2 million

it is doubtful whether another moslem nation would want to step into Afghanistan - the USA begged moslem nations like for help back in the early 2000s and got only several hundred, maybe a thousand out of it
