A real concern even if Brexit does not happen. The seriously savvy will buy a little vacation property there, too, and get a residency permit against the time when a change of scenery becomes advisable. In the meantime the thing can be rented out by a local property manager, if desired, earning out the mortgage payments.

This does not square with the headline, which pins the 'chaos' and money movement on Brexit. Probably a degree of both, but more on the ~~anticipated~~ guaranteed tax rate increase with a Labor government.
