#1 Edge of what cliff? How did all those other people seen in the video egress? IMA tossing the publicity flag on this one.

#2 That was some mighty fine flying - between the wind gusts and one side of the helo being in ground effect and the other not.

Maybe the able-bodied hikers were able to hike down normally.

#3 I'm guessing access road nearby and perhaps a bit too much smokey smokey or otherwise.

Lot of green shirts, and nobody looks kitted for a hike like that.

#4 Altitude sickness? Given that the article said they had plenty of water, so dehydration ought not to have been a problem, assuming he actually drank from their supply. After many years of skiing in the Rocky Mountains as well as at lower altitudes, trailing daughter #1 suddenly got altitude sickness one trip and had to be taken down the mountain in an emergency sled. She’s never gotten it since, so we have no idea what was different that time.

#5 That is some tough flying. As the peanut gallery posted, being in and out of ground effect is something that gives you arm pump trying to hold steady. Good job to the pilot.

#6 Pretty common maneuver 50 years ago but those pilots are all retired now. Somebody else must've learned how to violate the safety rules...
