#1 You know the Fed was established to end the cycle of crashes in the 19th century. Since then they've sat over a couple depressions (per the 1930's metrics) and several crashes (to include the one about to come). Put it on the block of agencies and departments to cut when we get around to the 2d republic.

#3 Around here the biggest price increases are for housing, as people flee the Dallas Metroplex. Also cars (& trucks), new or used. Other stuff is up, of course, but not shockingly.

The author or government is smoking some powerful shit. The Feds are spend $2 for every $1 it takes in as taxes. The Federal budget deficit is running at 15% of GDP and expect inflation to be only 5%?
