#5 Refusing to legitimize the existing sovereign state of Ukraine, I would guess. Which is particularly wacky, given that the Putinists were perfectly willing to acknowledge that state when it was being run by their bought-and-paid-for puppets. I wonder what the legal gyration was, to allow that flip-flop? AFAIK there's no legal mechanism for a neighbor to un-state a country that the diplomats and lawyers would be able to accept without being barred from the cash bar at the other diplomats' parties.

I don't think? Can you un-acknowledge a state?
