#1 The United States needs to develop the ability to fly A-10 aircraft from carriers, and give 200 of them to the Marines. Build two versions - one with the GAU-8 30mm Gatling gun, and one with a pair of 7.62 mini-Gatling guns. Use them in he$$holes like Somalia. We have drones that can find the enemy. We need something other than fast-movers to take them out. A carrier-based flight of A-10s would be the perfect weapon. Also, can you imagine any better assault-landing support weapon better than an A-10?
