#1 Bullshit. My question is what were the other commuters doing standing around ? He shoulda been lynched right there. A people who can suffer to see their children murdered in front of them, voting bitches like Merkel in again and again, denying the migrant hazard while jesting about the 'Orange Man' on twitter - this is exactly what they deserve.

As I recall, several men on the platform chased him out and cornered him until the police arrived. They didn’t lynch him because Germans don’t do such things in public yet. But outside public view, there have been repeated Molotov cocktail attacks on refugee homes, and also this item in the Israel Times’ liveblog today: the anti-immigration Alternative für Deutschland is surging in elections in the eastern states of Brandenburg (22.5%) and Saxony (27.5%).

When I was a very young adult, I went with Mr. Wife to visit friends in New York City. As we were standing in the subway platform, chatting and looking for the train, one of the men in our group — I don’t remember if it was Mr. Wife himself, another gentlemen — suddenly wrapped his arm around my waist, picked me up, and put me down again ten feet farther from the edge. It only took a moment, but I was naturally indignant about the indignity.

“Didn’t you notice?” he asked, “That druggie was about to push you off, onto the tracks.”

Of course I didn’t notice — situational awareness is not what I do, even when I realize I should. But the point is, such things move that fast.
