#3 I seem to recall that Turkey has been supplying Russia with cannon fodder from their Syrian paramilitaries for a year or so, some retrieved from twiddling their thumbs in Libya. That lot are former ISIS, former Al Qaeda, and former Muslim Brotherhooders — so Ukraine’s recruits are just a variation on the theme.
