#3 Keeping demonstrators and counter-demonstrators physically separated would seem to be a rather elementary procedure. NOT following such a simple crowd control procedure certainly begs the question.

#6 I think the Kessler thing is a quirk of history but really nothing. Some folks are extreme and may go from one to another.

The problem is the KKK and Nazi's showed up. Even if they were invited he can't make them show up. Once they were going to arrive Antifa was guaranteed to show up.

If you want to know what stinks look into the coverage that tried to make Antifa into heroes instead of covering how they provoked the fights. Look into why the police allowed armed folks to arrive or why they stood down. Those are the conspiracies worth looking into.

#7 It seems to me that having "no open carry" as a condition for a permit for this kind of demonstration would be reasonable. Yes, there would be loud objections citing the 2nd, weather them. Question: were both sides carrying openly?

#8 By the way, who put KKK and Nazis on the right of the US political spectrum? KKK voted Democrat. Not sure who they vote for now. Did they vote for Romney? And the Nazis were socialists somewhat to the right of the Communists, and certainly white supremacist nationalists. But they are not Republican or conservative types.

I don't know what the politics of the US Nazis are, other than they like to march around in uniform, bully people, and generally act like assholes.
