#1 The whole thing reminds me of that rich kid who spray painted cars in Singapore and was going to get a public spanking Singapore style. His people went around the talk shows trying to build sympathy but most Americans shrugged and said he had it coming, he knew the law and did it anyway.

I feel the same today about this basketball player but even more so.

#3 I flew into and out SFO in uniform in 1968 and 1969 without any problems. I never knew any one who was mistreated by civilians. They either pitied us or told us we were patriots. The Navy and Air Force did not use draftees. The Army and the Marines did.
