#1 IMO, the real (long term) harm of left's takeover of universities is not the Red Guards/Antifa operating outside universities - that problem will be solved once one of their victims pulls a gun and kills a couple, it's the decline in the quality of faculty.

#3 The way I understand those student loan debts is they started to really pile on at the same time the US Government took the cargo cult mentality that "college degree" = "magic success" and started handing out grants like candy to students no matter what damned fool degree they were working on and the Universities responded by increasing rates to capture as much of that ill gotten booty as possible. Naturally at the same time the worthless degree departments bloated with lefty staff.

Get the government out of the student loan business would be a great start.

#4 Add in the fact that a large number of jobs that previously only required a HS education now require at least a bachelor's. In part this is due to the much larger pool of college educated.

#5 Antifa does not act outside the university but are in fact incorporated into it as that's where their leaders are employed.

It's primarily because high school degrees are just certificates of attendance.
