#5 He wasn't "born that way" -- he had ink injected into his skin. He had emotional problems,and celebrities used him to promote themselves rather than get him help.

#6 ...I'm truly sorry for the man's family and friends; surely there was someone who loved and cherished him no matter what.

The thing that is bothering me is that it is simply not a grand leap of thought or reasoning to realize that this was a profoundly disturbed man. And that anyone with an ounce of sense (I understand of course that we may be excluding those who employed and exploited him) had to wonder what he was going to do when the new-toy thing wore off, and he was faced with having to make his way among those they so often deride as 'normies'. And I almost wonder if what sent him over the edge was the realization that the pain (that many tats had to be excruciating) and the notoriety would, in the end, mean nothing at all. None of them cared - he was simply trendy furniture to be briefly seen, noticed,and then ignored

#8 A Navy anchor, a Marine bulldog, Mom, are sort of ok body disfiguring statement. Doing the whole thing is a sign of less than a full deck being played, which in the entertainment crowd seems to pass for 'normal'. You know the crowd that considers Red Flyover country to be aboriginal.

#12 The guy had some kind of cancer, that's what started his tattoo frenzy. I'm guessing the latest medical news was bad and he took his own life rather than deal with dying the slow painful cancer death.

Clearly he had issues, but the story is far more than 'change the culture' as Gaga suggests. She's trying to be non-judgmental and help her 'friend' but until folks know why he might have died suggesting to change anything is just ignorant. Then again liberals are good at that.
