#1 At this point he'd be lucky if he could swing an assignment to Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Where they use to send all the brass screw-ups just short of their retirement.

#2 Nah. Too long a list of volunteers who love the back country want to go there. It's the 3 R's, recruiting, reserve advisor, or ROTC that the service uses to tell them to prepare for alternative employment.

#3 Tell me, what kind of man is LTC Mansir ?

Oh, he's just like any other man, only more so.

#4 Working together—poring over old phone records, credit-card charges, and travel itineraries—Curnutt and Jessica say they and Mansir’s wife have identified at least four other women with whom the soldier engaged in serious, long-term relationships over the last five years, while still married. Curnutt says she’s been contacted by several more since she started posting about his behavior on Instagram, but they’ve been too afraid to come forward.

In case you were wondering what the hell this story was about...

#5  Richard Kane Mansir, a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army

The US Army is a big organization. What was he a lieutenant colonel of, that he had the time and skills to engage multiple serious liaisons simultaneously?

(I feel forced to admire his organizational skills. I can barely manage my relationship with Mr. Wife — the idea of keeping track of more than one is beyond my comprehension.)

#6 Lt. Col. Richard Kane Mansir is a civil affairs officer who conducts “Army support activity” at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.

Mansir misinterpreted his MOS as Civilian Affairs Officer.

#8 I realize he's a much younger man, but has anyone seen anything regarding Kane's diet, vitamins, supplements, etc ?

Asking for a friend.

#11 BTW, they have court martial officers for this offense before. Would be a good way to save on retirement pay and benefits. Technically convicted officers are not 'busted' till all normal reviews and appeal opportunities have been exhausted and then it requires the signature of the service Secretary. It will be enlightening to see if they allow him to resign in "the best interests of the Army' or hammer him considering all the other 'perversions' they now permit.

#12 "If I don't bag 'em all before dyin',
It won't be for lack of my tryin'!
Ask her, her, her, her..."
Purred a prideful Mansir,
That victorious lion of lyin'.

#13 Civil Affairs indeed; way to go Lt Col! But isn't this really between the Lt Col and his women? Was he a bad soldier in some way that has yet to be unearthed? Because if a man or something as yet undetermined can serve with gusto and celebration for their alternative life style, what is his crime...he likes girls, a lot?

General Patton slept with every and any Hollywood actress he could get near. It is even said by DC people that when teased about trapping women out on his boat Teddy Kennedy responded that it was a Patton strategy.

George Custer always campaigned with what was said to be a very beautiful teen aged girl. In Northern Virginia he had a 14-16 year old recently freed girl said to be particularly striking. In the West he raised his credit with the red man with a similarly aged Northern Cheyanne red head beauty who road beside him at the head of his column and was the envy of those who encountered her.

Point being the good Col didn't invent it and his women have abundant legal recourse. Other than attaching his pay this has what exactly to do with the Army, criminalizing heterosexuality?
