#3 Interesting comment from Hizonor in the story; to the effect that he wasn't the one what robbed the guy, he wuz only the wheel man, it wuz de udder guy what robbed him. #4 After reading the article, I have a little more sympathy for the guy - the crime occurred 31 years ago, he served his time. He would have been eligible to run if he had not circulated the petitions himself.
