"Gedaref, a border city in eastern Sudan, has been affected by the ongoing conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) that began in April 2023. The city has become a haven for over 400,000 displaced people fleeing violence in other states, and incidents in Gedaref."
