#1 "a more constructive conversation about how they move their country forward because nobody is benefiting from the current stalemate"

Funny - "I won" was your response during your first two years in office, followed by another two years of less-than-constructive conversation.

And we won't talk about your frequent use of the 'Hawaiian good luck sign'...

#3 Young innocent that I am, I gotta ask: Have we ever, in living memory, had a president so unprepared to act on the world stage? Hell, never mind the 'living memory' bit, have we ever since the founding of the Republic?

Good answer. Current holder title holder for Worst President Ever. From some reason, when mentally reviewing all the presidents in my lifetime, I completely skipped over him. Go figure!

#6 Champ's personal guide while in South Africa is/was Ahmed Mohamed 'Kathy' Kathrada. How fitting.

Wikipedia: After the unbanning of the ANC in February 1990, Kathrada served on the interim leadership committees of both the ANC and the South African Communist Party. He resigned from the latter position when he was elected to the ANC National Executive Committee in July 1991. During the same year, he was appointed as head of ANC public relations as well as a fellow of the University of the Western Cape's Mayibuye Centre.

Kathrada went on the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca in 1992.

In the first all-inclusive democratic South African elections in 1994, Kathrada was elected as a member of parliament for the ANC; in September 1994 he was appointed as the political advisor to President Mandela in the newly created post of Parliamentary Counsellor. In June 1999, Kathrada left parliamentary politics.

In 1994 and 1995, Kathrada was elected as chairperson of the Robben Island Council. Currently, he still serves as the chairperson of the Robben Island Museum Council.

Kathrada's life partner is Ms Barbara Hogan, a recent Minister of Public Enterprises.

#7 [Change or correction to the above post: Kathrada may have only acted as a guide on Robben Island, where former inmates actually do run the former institution.]
