#2 Medics confirmed he had been killed.

This inspired a new twist on an old joke:

Two new IDF soldiers are out on patrol near the West Bank where they were attacked by a terrorist and have to shoot him. He doesn't seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed. One of the soldiers takes out his phone and calls their commander.

He gasps: "The guy seems to be dead! What should we do?" The commander says: "Calm down, I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead." There is a silence, then a gunshot is heard. The soldier gets back on the phone and says: "OK, now what?"

#8 Thanks, Pappy. I guess somewhere in the abyss that passes for a brain I knew that a 'rubber bullet' would not handle the forces involved in being fired, but I did not connect the dots to a solid core (steel).
