#4 Maybe selling a group of smart and hard working people like the majority of the Han Chinese to the overseers picked by Stalin was a bad bad idea to begin with. You know sooner or later, after killing several holocausts worth of people, in their quest to remake a billion people in their image, they'd eventually stumble across one of western communism's sacred cows.

#5 For that matter... having sold what's turned into a nation of about a billion and a half people (plus assorted loose change) to the heirs and appointees of Stalin, and then turned over so many of our most modern industries to them that we can either buy from them and pretend the resulting product is trustworthy or find a good place to march out into the wilderness and live on locusts and wild honey. If I knew a good place to do so I'd do it.

But, having done all that, we're gonna turn around and scream like old women at the thought that a dozen of them shitposted on facebook.

#9 I've never understood the hostility of the Chinese govt to the Falun Gong as the latter are not political. In fact they are not even explicitly believers in God. Their spirituality is somewhat like Marianne Williamson spirituality which may be annoying but hardly a threat.
