#1 But that doesn't include the state and local taxes - sales tax, property tax, personal property tax, excise tax, license taxes, mandatory health insurance. I bet the More Free Stuff folks would be surprised at just how much tax they pay.

#3 Personally, I think a flat tax is the only fair tax, whether you make one dollar or a trillion. Otherwise, the folks at the lower end of the income spectrum gang up against the folks at the upper end of the income spectrum and have them pay for all kinds of crazy stuff. Seems unconstitutional to me.

That's what the Goths and Huns did to Rome, and we're witnessing in Venezuela. BTW, that's why the rich buy politicians to create byzantine tax codes to protect what they got.
