#1 The best ad of the campaign was McAuliffe sitting in a diesel engine boat in the middle of the ocean spouting off about building wind mills in the ocean of the VA coast.

Deeds is a moderate Democrat; it appears the leftist agenda is already showing signs of fatigue in the first election since 'hope and change' started.

#2 Unfortunately the pro-gun moderate democrats are the enablers for the remake-everything-in-Marx's-image hope and change Democrats. How much cover did Jim Webb give to the Zero while he was running for President?

#3 Deeds was a moderate back in 2005

he now supports same sex marriage, aggressive gun control and abortion in the 3rd trimester which is one reason he got the support of the wapo

#4 McAuliffe spread a lot of money around the state (thanks, Terry!) but he's still a carpetbagger.

And most Virginians don't like that, for some reason.
